This bird feeder, made from recycled materials, is a functional sculpture by the Helsinki-based brand Pidät. After years of carefully studying the eating habits of birds, the duo Mika and Julie created this beautiful and thoughtfully designed piece.
The feeder is designed to function as a grain silo - simply lift the top cone, pour in sunflower seeds or peanuts, and the feeder fills from the bottom up. Furthermore the feeder is designed for an easy assembly and disassembly. All the parts can be separated and recycled - starting the circle of reuse again.
Wash your feeder by hand regularly with soap and warm water (but not in the dishwasher).

Ornithologists recommend offering only enough food that will be consumed in a couple of days, especially during wet weather. Storms or extended rainy weather can dampen the seeds. In rainy weather, it is best to offer sunflower seeds with the shells still on, since the shell protects the hearts from moisture. Replace food often to avoid bacteria that could harm your feathered friends.
